Last week brought my back to work, as much as it saddens me it is also a great change. Trying to work out the logistics of who drops the kid off and who picks them up etc. I must say being at work is much easier than being at home! So why do I work part time? Well I hate missing stuff that my babies do and well someone has to keep up the housework. I'm so proud of Jacob he didn't cry when we left him at the babysitters, he is usually horrible for doing this. I guess it's because he loves her! So this week Jacob and I have been getting ready for Camerons birthday. I can't believe in one week he will be one, he still feels like a little baby to me. Well I will post pics next week with Cameron's birthday

Life

So I start back to work exactly one week from today, mixed feelings....but i know i only work part time so its a nice break from the everyday grind!!! Although Cameron still not sleeping through the night is kinda making me scared!!! This weekend I went to Perth Fabric Store to get some fleece fabric to make Cameron a blankie for his 1st birthday...boy do they have a lot of selection. It was so nice and my parents join us too so they could help with the rug rats. I just love Perth is so fun. Sunday we went to Wheelers Pancake House with my in laws and had a great time, they had so much to do and i think its great when the grandparents get to spend time with the kids (and not babysitting!!!!) Then we went to my parents for homemade Pesto Pizza YUM! Monday My sister in law took the day off to spend with Jacob and his cousin Spencer (they are both the same age...well 5 weeks apart!!!) She had so much planned and well when i picked him up he was exhausted. And I got to clean my house, back to work shop and pick up my sister (Boy did i miss her and our coffee dates!!) So today was my first day of price matching, and boy its addictive. To be honest i have no idea why i didn't do it sooner. I usually shop at independent but the prices are crazy. I hate walmarts produce so i never go there. Well Freschco doesn't have a lot of selection it has basics and good produce, oh ya and price match (except shoppers and GT). So what did i get Cheese (Reg 7.99 PM for 5.99), Bread (Reg 2.99 PM for 1.99), Frozen pizzas for playmates (7.99 PM for 3.97) KD for kiddies (13.99/case PM 6.99/case) Plus now i've started buying meat thats 30% because in a few days its expired, but i freeze all my meat. So what would normally but a 200+ bill was 147 tonight!!! So I think I am going to do this every week, seriously why not and the girl at the cash was so good about it. Also i am addicted to reading at night and my sister in law and friend just dropped off like 20 books combined. So I'm going to start a book exchange once a month!!!

Where have I been?

I know really I dropped off the face of the earth like in July really? Sounds about right....I feel extremely busy but have no idea what i have been doing. I do know two things that i haven't been doing #1 Blogging #2 Scrapbooking. And i have 4 weeks til i go back to work. Oh my i'm not even sure how i'm going to do that as Cameron still is up 3-4 times a night if we are lucky only twice. Yup thats right in his almost entire first year of life has has slept through the night (8-6) twice. yup that is why i look "rough" as my husband says. Cameron's life certainly has not been easy, first constipation then vomitting, crying a lot, losing weight, ear infections. But hey the doctors say he smiles, well i'm glad he does that jazz, oh ya did i mention he is not moving yup he sits and stands but doesn't move. We'll he will kinda walk if we hold his hands. It just seems to weird. So i'm going to try really hard to get back into this because I enjoy it and some of my "followers" were asking where i went. I guess i kinda went to Pinterest for awhile too!!! Addictive. Heres an update of babies:)

The Adventures at Sandbanks

Packed and ready to go by lunch time. Derek and Jacob in the truck and Cameron and I in the car, i know its so ridiculous driving in separate vehicles but until we can afford an extended cab truck this is how we travel. Two things you must know before I continue my husband(yes a wonderful man) has two evils #1 Very Cheap #2 No patience. So just off the 401 on the way to Picton there is an indian reserve and they sell stuff (cheap cigarettes and GAS...yes GAS) so Derek doesn't smoke but his truck sure likes gas, so he has to pull over and get some gas. Everyone (3 trucks and trailers) pulls off waiting for derek to fill up with gas. He turns off his truck while waiting in line, so then he goes to start it and click click...nothing. Isn't this nice...he has lost it and i'm laughing because i am surprised we made it this far. So this random guy pulls him away to the side and then some "on the side of the road" mechanical work happens. Thank goodness derek works for Napa and has parts connections and one of our friends is a mechanic, so a starter was change right at the gas station!!! A few beers later (*and swearing*) and we were on the road. We made it there and well went to bed early, unfortuntely the next day wasn't so nice..rain but just before supper it cleared up and then we had an after dinner swim, so refreshing. Saturday was really gorgeous ...please see picture with guy smoking something. REally at a beach at 10am? Sorry I must be out of the loop..what is it? i'm sure its legal. Then we had some man going to strip down and change right in front of us and he was no eye candy.The waves were awesome and the sand was hot. Then that night I decided to poison my sister in law, just joking she is really sensitive and i guess she can't have cumin...so sorry really made for a crappy weekend for her. She decided to sleep in the trailer, pretty sure she regretted that idea...you know baby that still gets up through the night and a toddler that well likes to get up early...oh ya and i forgot to mention derek likes the trailer like an ice box so pretty sure she froze her ass off!!! Then sunday we didn't make it to the beach til 2 and it was packed so we got near the pet area..clearly its called that for a reason...when i came out of the water i had some nice green seaweed..yumm. But the funniest well maybe not funniest part was the lady put her baby in a car seat (not strapped in) and then left it right behind these peoples chairs while she set up a tent. So all of a sudden the baby falls out of the car seat so i go over(no knowing its not this guys baby) and say to the person um your baby fell out and the guy was like thats not my baby. So i'm thinking ok its literally right beside you...then the mother comes over and says oops i forgot about my baby. Oh my some people. Monday had to be the best day, awesome waves great weather and we went early enough to the beach. We had some family up for the day. It was an awesome 5 days but glad to be home and showered. And I'm sorry Todd you stuck around too long at the girls campfire and learned some interesting facts!!!I didn't take alot of pictures sorry
This week, peach jam...next week pickles

So its been a while I know what did I tell you i'm not very good at this. We have been spending alot of time either in water or at saunders farm!!! I have been wanting to go and pick raspberries but either its too hot or raining anyways i just bought some today. So I made some jam and froze some so that we can enjoy some smoothies in the winter. An old friend has just started to use cloth diapers and well lets just say its making me feel really guilty. I used them with Jacob all the time and well with Cameron I just can't get into the swing of it. And to be honest its really bugging me, its just one of those things that i really liked doing. I feel like my days are crazy busy and I can't get anything done. So I think i need to stay at home more often. Having said that we are going camping for 6 days..crazy i know, so this week i will be getting ready(packing, groceries etc) and then next week unpacking (urghh). Anyways just wanted to check in...try to come back soon!!

Weekend Camping at Fitzroy Harbour

We booked our first trip to Fitzroy Provincial Park because #1 we have been before and liked it, #2 wanted something close to home incase the trailer or kids did not work out! Well all worked out some minor issue with the pump or water or something (do not know even though Derek has explained it to me 5 times) Anyways its fixable no biggy. Friday night it rained but only when we were ready to pack it in for the night. But the rest of the weekend was awesome weather and everyone cooperated. Anyways looks like another busy week, might (strong might) try and make some Raspberry Jam and freezer some raspberries. And Derek and I are celebrating our 5th Anniversary on Friday....hard to believe, so I think we are going to Dinner and maybe renting a movie and chilling at home while Jacob has a sleepover....gtg children need me

Saunders Farm

So we went to Saunders farm today...LOVED IT! Jacob had such a great time and there is so much to do. I might even buy a seasons pass we'll see. They have these jumping pads, lots of play structures, splash pad, HUGE slide (see pic hahahaha--OOPS), mazes (don't attempt near the end as a last minute thing-sorry Jen and Krista)
So our trip was great! On a side note Jacob started swim lessons last night...didn't go so well he has a case of separation anxiety that i can't break, so i'm not sure what his aunts have up there sleeve to get him to go next time because he already is saying he doesn't like the instructor...apparently someone likes him as he friggen had hickeys all over his neck!!!! We are off camping tomorrow so no posts til next week. Wish us luck!
